In the nanometer-scale (1 nm = 0.000000001 m) world, the size of a system itself can be an important factor to determine its properties. Nano science aims to unveil diverse new phenomena in the nanoscopic world and control the properties of the materials for our usefulness. Nano science is a convergent science and technology with a multi-disciplinary character. We encourage graduate students to have various experiences in diverse fields and offer an opportunity to participate in the state-of-the-art nano science research. We are also focused on the application of the nano science, including nano device, nano material, and nano-bio engineering.
